Properties of pottery

- The finished product will be smaller than it was during the firing process.
- The surface of the pottery may have crack-like patterns (crazing) or holes (pinholes).
Moisture and oil can seep into those areas, as well as the unglazed parts (mainly the bottom), which can cause discoloration and odor transfer.

We hope you understand that these are characteristics of pottery and have a handmade feel .

*Crazing and pinholes do not affect the usability of the product.

 

We will seal the pores.
① Soak the container in fresh water for about 15 minutes before use.
② Wipe off any moisture from the surface of the dish and then arrange the food on it.

A vessel that has absorbed fresh water is less likely to absorb moisture and oil compared to a vessel that has not absorbed water.
*If discoloration occurs, it can be alleviated by using kitchen bleach.
